Trial playing experience: making judgments based on "hand feel and tone"
Nov 12,2021
The parameters are only for reference, and the actual trial shooting experience is more important. During the trial shooting, you can pay attention to the following aspects.
1. Hand feel: Whether the "feedback" of the keyboard is comfortable
Key pressure: When pressing the keys, the pressure should be even, neither too light nor too heavy, ensuring no stuttering or sluggishness during continuous playing.
Key travel depth: A key travel that is too shallow can affect the expressiveness of the performance, while a key travel that is too deep may increase the burden on the fingers. Choose a key travel that suits your own playing habits.
Rebound speed: When playing scales or arpeggios quickly, the keys should rebound swiftly to ensure clear and coherent notes.
2. Timbre: auditory "compatibility"
Tone characteristics: Pianos from different brands have their own unique tones. Some are bright and transparent, while others are rich and warm. You can choose according to your preferred music style. For example, classical music is suitable for pianos with a thick tone, while pop music can be played on models with a bright tone.
Intonation stability: Play a chord and listen to see if the notes sound harmonious, without any noise or harshness; play the same pitch continuously to check if the intonation is stable.
Volume level: Play the same key with different intensities to feel whether the volume changes naturally and whether the level is rich.
